go on you youtube and watch tutorials of overclocking your cpu. if you are willing to delid your cpu and switch the cheap thermal paste with liquid metal your cpu temperature will drop by 20c

@yhyyy: Just do what I said and leave everything else alone.

You haven't said what cooling you have, and don't type in all caps.

you simply increase the base bus multiplier, have enough max voltage, dont need to touch other stuff. You start from 40, check the thermals and stability, then you increase and repeat tests.

and i have the results

so if i passed this test what it means??

i did and the realbench stress test and it passed me without problems

1.25v at 4.5 is impressive on Haswell, you should be good to go to 1.28v with those chips as long as your CPU can handle frequincies above 4.6Ghz.

Try 4.8GHz at 1.28v and it crashes then you don't have a golden chip, I know from experience that it is possible as long as you have the cooler to keep your temps stable.

My 4670K is at 1.24v at 4.4GHz... I still have the voltage overhead to go to 4.8Ghz but my chip is a dud and can't go over 4.4GHz no matter what.

That said you won't really benefit much from clocking that chip higher than 4.4/4.6GHz anyway.

@yhyyy: Extra voltage is what causes the heat

Just increasing the multiplier alone causes more power draw too

As Haswell consumer chips are non-soldered, running them on high clocks with air cooling(and water too) will lead to high temps no matter what
