Where have you heard that? The interview strongly suggests that they don't really know what direction to take with CS2 - but details like those would stringly indicate a direction for the game.
Are you confusing CS2 with CS:Online?

Well, thats good news. I never got into CSS, probably because I started playing it a few years after release, and by then the 1337 players had taken over. Its still a good game though.

he did not say that, he just kept saying that cs was an important part of valve, the person conducting the interview, kept trying to squeeze something out of him by saying so important that a second part is coming out" things of that nature, and all he kept saying was that it was an important part of valve
