I have an old Xbox 360 with no HDMI port. I currently have the component HD cables (Y, Pb, Pr) and this new TV I just bought http://www.amazon.com/LE55FHDF3300ZTA-55-Inch-2-Year-Limited-Warranty/dp/B007EM7NMA . I'm not very impressed by the 360 picture quality on the TV with the component HD cables (however cable tv looks fantastic on it). I've been researching and I've come to these conclusions and need help!!

- The component to HDMI converters are crappy and not very good

- The component HD cables now are okay but the picture output is jaggy and doesn't look great. Should I just stick with this or...

- Should I buy a VGA HD cable to hook it up with? Would the picture quality be noticeably better?

Thanks!!

VGA will be better, however you have to figure out your sound output options.

If you think cable looks good, then I would check the setting match, because often different inputs have different settings. If it still looks bad then try VGA.

You can try VGA, but there usually aren't many options for adjusting the VGA picture quality in the TV menus.. Did you mess with any of your TV's component settings? Try increasing the color, and adjust the brightness, contrast, etc...

Hmm, I believe you did the same in another thread (copying my answer, followed by a thanks), but with a different account. :S
