offline gaming

I was wondering if someone could suggest some very good offline only games,no co-op or anything.....thanks!!!

except for mmo, most games have Single-player campaigns. game recommendations would depend on which kind of games you like, shooters? RPG?RTS? and etc.

you like them all? then you'd better tell us the games you've already played. and see what games you've been missing out.

The Witcher, Crysis + Warhead, STALKER SoC and CS, Half Life 2 + Episodes, Portal, Penumbra Series (scary as hell), Splinter Cell series, Supreme Commander, Max Payne Series, Bioshock, Condemned Criminal Origins (also scary as hell), Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Brothers in Arms series. Thats just off the top of my head.

Try out one of the Total War games, they are a blast.

Garry's mod. GMod is a sandbox game that uses the source engine. There's this great mod coming out that features 160 CoD4 quality weapons.

Star Wars: Republic Commando. Great campaign, and also challenging, it's kind of different from the normal Star Wars stuff. It's basically Halo with three other allies. And in the Star Wars Universe. It also has a Total Conversion Unofficial Sequel.

Spore. This game features a stage similar to WoW, two RTS stages, and a flight-esque stage.

Elder Scrolls III Morrowind. I have played this on XBox, but it is praised by PC gamers.

The Elder Scrolls Oblivion modded, then adding more mods after you're done with those is the best singleplayer fun I've had and can remember. I predominately play online games though.

The Witcher! You should seriously consider playing it. I heard about it a couple of days ago. Bought it today, enjoying the hell out of it! :D

Wolfenstein is good one. Also do not forget Prince of Persia Series. POP is ultimate to play offline, its offline only though.
