I just started getting in to NeverWinter Nights 2. i made it to neverwinter but my dud is a monk and he only has like 2 spell things heal and stunning fist. How do i get more?

I haven't played as a monk, but as you go up levels you get to make choices about what class to level up, skills to gain, etc. Also, you can find spell scrolls you can use from monsters and treasure chests (the usual rpg stuff).
