That's a lot of money to buy something you'll get bored with in 30 minutes.

well you might get bored in 5 minutes..

nah.. ok when I said 30 minutes I was under exaggerating, I admit. For me, playing PC games in 3D using Nvidia drivers soon got tiring though.

At first you're like "Woah it's in 3D... cool." Later you'll be like... "ahh these damn glasses are giving me eyestrain... what the heck is the point of this?"

Playing games in 3D isn't just that amazing really. It's actually kind of pointless.

3D Movies can be fun from time to time, but I wouldn't want to watch ALL my movies in 3D, that's for sure. Most of the 3D effects in movies are quite gimmicky and pointless anyway.

I just think 3D TVs are pretty much underwhelming and a waste of money.

he really is telling the truth...i bought a 61 inch sammy with 3d capabilities and after a year i think i used the 3d functionality maybe 5 times. Its just more convenient to play in 2d where you can relax and game as usual..3d wont be good until there is'nt a need for glasses.fallout 3 was fun for the 10-15 minutes i actually played it in 3d though..i cant front..it just wasnt comfortable.

I'm sure the Avatar buzz will pass in time. 3D seems to be a gimick that is not going to be long for this world, at the same time uping the amount of seizures.

Boy would I feel like an arse if it catches on....:P

I agree and I would wait until there is a standard among HDTV's.
