Well I listened to some of your peoples advice and came up with not only I think a better pc, but ALOT and I mean around $700 cheaper. It may not be the top of the line but tell me what you think:

Bought:

XFX "Fatality" nVidia Geforce 8500 GT 512MB (only $99 at best buy, couldnt ignore it)

Buying:

Gigabyet P35 D3SL MOBO

OCZ GameXstream 700W PSU

OCZ Platinum DDR2 Memory (2x1024)

Intel CQ2 Q6600

Western Digital 500GB HDD

Samsung 22" 220WM LCD

Blu Ray DD- Need advice here, should i go with LG or pioneers? *Sony is way to expensive compared*

$99 for an 8500GT? You could have bought an HD2600XT or 8600GT for that price. And it definitely would have been worth the upgrade. You got screwed, I'm afraid, unless you can return that thing.

You could have gotten a lot better videocard for the same price.

Also your PSU is an overkill.

Everything on your rig list looks real nice except for that 8500GT. Not only did you pay a little high for the card but it really does not perform well at all. Since you are not going for SLi with that mobo you want to get strong card! I would advise you to get the 8800GT for price performance ratio or the 8800GTS 512mb (G92) for enormous power at a reasonable price. I would go for the GTS 512mb because it just came out and the benchmarks are real nice; also it is being sold out fast so before prices inflate extremely go for it!

Ok, then i will return it and get the money back. I was unaware of the big difference between the 500 and the 600. I guess the price just kind of jumped at me. I ll focus on the 8800 GTS. As far as the PSU's go, what do you guys prefer? Should i get the EVGA anyways since the 9xxx's series comes out in febuary? Thanks for your help guys!

You don't need that great of a PSU, get a lower wattage one.

Look for a PSU in the 500 W range., Good brands are seasonic, corsair, silverstone, antec, and enermax.

Here are a list of good gaming cards according to how much you want to spend.

$100 - 2600XT

$150 - 3850 HD (256 MB version, but wouldnt recommend this card)

~$240 - 3870 HD

~$280 - 8800 GT (prefrably eVGA brand, if not XFX)

For a GPU, try your hardest to buy from eVga. If the newer card comes out within 90 days of your purchase, you can step up to the newer card for a few bucks and your old card, its a really good deal!

make sure you do strong resrearch before you empty your pockets

2600 XT would do, so would 8600 GT but my advice is to save up and buy 3850, right on the budget

I will never undertstand this.People buy quad cores,500GB HDD's,blue ray drives and then skimp on the GPU so hard.If this really is a gaming PC then get the 8800GT and nothing less since you have the money and save money on things like the proccesor and HDD and blue ray.Seriously if that is indeed a gaming PC then spend the most on the GPU.

And also to those saying about the 2600XT i want to say that the xfx fatality cards are easily the most factory oced nvidia cards on the market. So their performance will be significantly higher than the stock versions.
