Looks great. More focused on gameplay I think. I hope it does well and delivers. Could be a great game to have. The persistent world is quite attractive.

Not yet. Q3 or Q4 of 2011. The beta will be around Q1 of 2011 I think. Sign up for the forums at Firefallthegame.com and that automatically signs you up for the beta.
Free doesn't determine the quality of a game, the quality of a game does... Free means that people almost have no reason to not try this game out. Those that don't like MMOs give up only their time to try this game out. My friends will be easily convinced to try this game out, even the ones that aren't as big as a gamer as me. Free is awesome.

From much of the recent news that I have heard, free is good. Many MMORPGs are going free and are becoming more succesful due to the move to free. D&DO, LotR, and others. Again, if a game is good and the premium content doen't break the game therefor non-paying members are on equal grounds as psying members, then the game will be great and likely a monetar success.

I might check it out sometime though.

"Cash for power" has already been confirmed as NOT happening with this game.
Players will be paying for aesthetic things in the store. TF2 has already proven that people WILL pay for this stuff.
As for that ridiculous "cash shop = horrible gameplay", I think you need to learn the difference between correlation and causation. I mean, the game represented IN YOUR AVATAR has a freaking cash shop.

Not at all. Again, everything that people can buy can be earned simply by playing the game like any other game. this just makes it so that people with limited time can get good things and have fun in the game. This game is skill based (head shots matter etc...) and not purely based on the items and skills of your character, like WOW.

Nope, sorry. Like Firefall on Facebook. That is how I get my updates of when they release info. They have yet to talk about PVP yet. Though the beta will be coming soon so sign up on the forums to be entered into the beta.
