Ive been having a little problem lately. I just recently built a computer, and installed XP justuntil I got more cash.

I could not get the XP validated to save my life. It is still not validated and my 30 days are up.

Now I want to move ahead and install Windows 7. Could I do it?

If I can, would I have to buy an upgrade, OEM version or the retail home premium?

If I get an OEM OS, and change several parts, ill have to call and get it reactivated, right?

And this will work just fine? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116754&cm_re=OEM_windows_7-_-32-116-754-_-Product

the oem's do like to tie themselves to specific hardware, if you're like me and like to format often then yes, you will have to call, a retail version will make you call if you reinstall too much but that goes away with time, the oem are likely to take much more time.
