My nephew just broke my ipod stock headphones so im going to get a new pair. I have $30 to spend and i was thinking i would go with this pairhttp://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-iPod-iPhone-Earphones-with-Remote-Mic/11070021the same that i had. Reasons being although the quality isn't top-notch i love the controls and being able to pause, play, and go to the next song without having to take the ipod out of your pocket is very convenient. What do you guys think and feel free to suggest anything in my range of $30, nothing over that though.

Whenever mine break, I tend to just order a cheap under 10$ "ipod" earphone pair on amazon (99.9% sure that there fakes). They look, feel, and sound the same, works great at the gym.

iPod Headphones are quite expensive they are around about $45AU-$60AU. I think you should go with a better Brand, try SkullCandy they are worth $30AU and have the same Duartion as iPod headphones till they break, and the headphones are actually like earplugs. You can't hear a thing, besides music

I workout and jog if that changes anything. Only reason im extremely considering the apple headphones is 1) They cost as much as the CX-300's and 2) If your jogging or something you can just double tap the little remote near your neck and you can change the song, instead of having to goof with your Ipod.

The sennheisers have much better audio quality than the ipod stock phones, in my experience. If you're looking for controls on the phones for jogging though, i i guess i'de go with apple's.

Do you think the quality increase is worth the loss of the controls?

to me it is, yes, because i don't mind taking it out of my pocket to change songs. If i use it to work out (which i don't get around to doing that often) i just pick a playlist or something so i won't have to change it. I also do some songwriting/recording on my PC (unprofessionally) with my headphones though, so i like to be able to hear everything.
