check your motherboard manual to see what 1 beep means It's likely something fairly fundamental like power not being connected correctly, or no RAM

sounds like a motherboard or videocard problem, is it just one single beep?

Make sure the video card is pushed all the way down in.

Check to make sure your RAM is pushed all the way down as well.

Make sure the CPU fan is connected all the way to the motherboard and also check to make sure you connected all the case switches (front panel connectors) to your motherboard the correct way. Also make sure you have your RAM in one of the configurations that is supported by your motherboard.
