dude its most probably the 5870's drivers, go to this site and download CCC, and then through that you can download your drivers. Or you can go directly to the site, but i'm not sure what the site for the driver downloads is. just downlaod it through CCC

Should fix your problems.

if this doesnt work then Im pretty sure your GPU might have a hardware-related problem, but the drivers should fix it.

hmm, if the drivers didn't fix the problem then I think your 5870 might be screwed up. try to update drivers on EVERYTHING and run some tests on CPU, and if all fails, just RMA the 5870. If its still not fixed after the RMA, then it might be your CPU or mobo, but for now it really sounds like a GPU problem

oooh... this is a problem then. We are looking at either a VERY rare situation in which both your cards are screwed up or that something is wrong with your cpu/mobo/ram/etc. however, this could be a monitor problem (i think - someone correct me if im wrong)

Hmm, I have a 5850 and run MW2 maxed perfectly smooth with no FPS drops in that map. Sounds like it's hardware related.

Oh, you were probably on a PCI-E x4 or X8 slot rather than X16.
