Meh, its a super linear 3 hour game with very specif and shallow gameplay, you litterally do one thing: punch people in the face and then do it again and again with the same characters. Actually i cant thing a more simplistic game with less content in it. By all means i think that the rating 6.5 was quite high for such a game.Zeno Clash is also crazy underrated, amazing art direction and great characters.

Only buy it if you have an nvidia card. Anno 1404 was great, kozzy, but I had no idea it got bad reviews, I bought it on the strength of the demo. It got 8.5 on gamespot, seems about right to me. Did it not fare as well elsewhere?
Personally I thought zeno clash was OVERrated :D

I agree with kozzy about the art direction and great characters...they are very original and enjoyable to watch.
I also agree with dakan, however, in that the game play is kind of boring. Still, if you're looking for a game with great original artwork and an enigmatic story line, I think Zeno Clash fits that niche.

I have so many other games to play right now though (I bought the THQ pack), so I'm gonna hold off until summer 2010 when nothing is coming out.

Those where impressive, now if the game developers made the game longer and the levels bigger and no linear, somewhat hl2 os might and magic dark messiah and add exploring and climbing or travelling in the game instead of beeing and endless beat em up "VS" fight all over...well it could have been better. I mean by the trailer i thought it will be more of a action adventure fps and with decent shooting and not a small brawling game. I like when game developers explain us why they made those creatures and what are they. Zeno clash is filled with creatures that there is no info overally about them. It will be nice to see the devs taking the world they created more seriously and explain us more about the game.[QUOTE="artiedeadat40"]

Thanks, and it says DRM free. How is Gamers Gate? I have never used them. Is it like D2D?

The only problem is the games length and not the most amazing gameplay personally.
The art direction was amazing, the characters where great and the music was fantastic.
Very short game, but what was there I really enjoyed. A very unique game imo, but definatly was way to short and didnt have outstanding gameplay or anything.
But as someone else said, its got great art design and is a niche kinda game.

I would love to see some exploration, a longer game and more info on the world/characters.
Its jsut so rare that a videogame goes out on a limb and tries something as unique as Zeno Clash did with its game world, characters and art direction.
Definatly not a perfect game, but there is some great aspects there that they can take and use for an upcoing title to make really good.

I dont really mean overrated only by the gamespot reviewers, but overall.
When people list the top 10 games of 2009 I rarely see anyone list Dawn of Discovery on there. Its one of the best games of 2009 imo and is underrated frmo an overall aspect imo.
It got good reviews overall, but it doesnt get talked abotu alot or brought up often when peopel talk about the best games of this year.
My personal favorite strategy game in ages.
The most recent underrated game IMO is The Saboteur (7,5 wth?) the game has very unique art style, awesome main character (IMO), very well written dialogues, interesting story and atmosphere. Ofcourse it has some annoyances like stiff driving (Mafia styled), and few minor bugs but in summary The Saboteur is a total blast! Especially if you are into free roaming, open world games! Sure Pandemic studios got closed down, but they left with the BLAST!!! xD
Cryostasis maybenavalI agree here. Although gamespot gave it a rather good score the game on various gaming sites and magazines is underrated

From what I've read, the devs will explain the story better in the next installment. We'll see.
