Hi, I want to get back on the MMO scene can anybody recommend a title?

my experience is as follows;

WoW-Left due to lack of playing

Champions online: got dull after 1 month

Star Trek: very poor gamplay

APB: closed down but liked most of it

If you liked APB (shooting) then I'd suggest Planetside, but it's all-but-dead. My advice is to check out some of the free trials going around: Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons, etc.

No. I felt like reommending the worst game ever.

Seriously though, I thought it was fun. Nice graphics, fun gameplay, WoW-ish quests.
Loved WoW when I played that, but if I would start an MMO again, it would be AoC.

Until we have BTL, stay away from MMORPGS.

Link to BTL - here

If you liked APB becouse it was an action game then check out Crimecraft and Global Agenda (now for next to nothing at the devs website, only a 3 day sale to hurry). If you want a mroe traditional mmo then try WAR its focus on PvP is refreshing and recently it has been improving. LOTRO is ofcourse a good game, especially if you like lots of lore in your mmo. If you want something different you can try Darkfall, a sandbox mmo with action based combat and skill based gameplay...as in improving by using instead of leveling in the WoW sense. Dont ever go to the Darkfall forum, outside of the game the community sucks.

Check out Everquest 2 its free to play and you upgrade your account anytime to a full sub account to get all the features etc. Great MMO I just back into EQ2 cause FFXIV sucked big time.

Well, I suggest Lord of the Rings online. It's a great game, however i got bored after a few days, because if you want to start a MMO, don't do it alone... especially in lord of the rings. Yes, you can easilly find peoplo to do quests, or not so... in my case(don't know why). So after some days I've got bored after many hours of questing alone-that's because the quests are long and some times very boring (especially in the Old Forest). In conclusion, it's a very good game, but don't start it alone.

I'm a sci-fi junkie, so I'm partial to EVE myself. But man, it took me two months to figure everything out, LOL

Runes of Magic, started 2 hours ago, and It's pretty cool and all, Dual class is pretty nice as well. People say its a copy of WoW, but I've never played WoW before, so I dont know what to say about that haha.

If you could wait, Guild Wars 2. 2011 will have tons of games for you to play until then anyways. Other than WOW, which you no longer play, I cannot recommend anything else that's worthy.

Yeah, LotRO is pretty solid. Don't know if the EU version is also free.

I really enjoyed EVE Online but as I don't have enough time to play it, I ended the subscription. You start off quite loney but if you play a reasonable amount, you'll easisily find people to play with and blow other people up. Can be very fun!
