Medievel RTS Suggestions

I really want a medieval RTS for computer. Im looking at Medieval 2 because you can sort of zoom in to the battles and it looks pretty epic but im not sure. Any suggestions?

It would be nice if I could download it on Steam, but it dosn't really matter

Stronghold / Stronghold crusader still among my favs

How are the wars in Stronghold and which 1 is the best cuz I know there are quite a few

medival II: total war

lords of the realm 3 (3d castle sieges ftw)

age of empires 2

civilization 3

rome: total war (umm bronze age hello)

shogun: total war (feudal japan is technically speaking medival)

I picked up Medieval 2 Gold edition and I'm enjoying it. Kinda overwhelming at first but you get used to it.

If all you like is fighting then get that game.
