I've been savin to get a laptop. And. I still want one, but I don't know what to get. Im only 16, so I'd be using it for like internet, videos, and games. That's really it. I don't need anything hardcore, like something that can handle mass effect 2 with all it's settings on high. THis is because I get all of the games that normally come out on both systems, on xbox 360. The only games I'd be playing on it would be like, if i decide to play WoW again, Crysis, Dragon Age, Team Fortress 2, The Sims 3, Warcraft 3, and like Counter Strike. Because mostly all the other games, id get on my xbox. So i was looking into the Alienware m11x, and the HP Pavallion dv7t.

I'd recommend an Asus G60vx, it's 100$ more but could run alot of games really smoothly

I have the M11x it's a nice little machine,it's not without it's pro's and con's, It's fast but it's not able to run all the games at full stats (HIGH) but medium it runs great and smooth, the keyboard is nice and comfortable to game with. The screen is just so so and not as sharp as my wifes XPS laptop. if you have the coin i would go with a nice dell XPS laptop.

What about an ASUS G73JH-A1?

Although it has been delayed alot, it's relatively cheap for it's quality. It might be more expensive than what you're looking for, though.

But ASUS will, no doubt, be your best bet for gaming laptops.

That's probably out his budget because an M11x is 800, so it'll probably be around there lol. But yes asus is the best and cheapest choice, I have the g60vx, so far it's amazing, I run bad company 2 on highest settings with 40+ fps and 30+ in mp.

I have one of these also. It gets a bit hot but it pretty much plays any recently released games on max settings at a pretty decent framerate.

It gets ridiculously hot. It almost burned me :( CPU temp seems to hover steadily at or below 65C though... could be worse.
