a couple of the guys and I are in need of a new game that can be played through LAN. WoW isnt possible bcause the internet is limited and we've played warcraft and starcraft too much. something like WoW or Diablo would be nice but something like stronghold or age of empires is also good. any suggestions?

dungeon defenders

warhammer 40k: dawn of war II (wait for retribution though its set for march and will both add lan support and torch the bloody mess that is GFWL

trine i think qualifies

so does torchlight i think??

if your willing to broaden your horizons there is always hl2DM, alien swarm, moonbase alpha, css, tf2, serious sam HD the 2nd encounter, dawn of war I, sniper ghost warrior.

That's what I meant....the poster asked nothing which is limited by Internet, so I guess LFD2 is a no go....

Unreal Tournament and pretty much any of the Shogun games were LAN favourites for me back in the day. Especially good if anyone joins in with an older pc. and yeah who can go past the battle field games??

again good call +1 swat 4 was most welcome indeed.

rainbows 6 vegas classic was also alright if your into games like GRAW, socom, and such.. it has 2 on 2 which can make for some good times

ut2004 had a MP only freeware edition aswell which was good times.

In my dorm, we have a MInecraft server and about 12 active players. It's awesome. We have a real estate system and economy set up.

Untrue. Run steam in offline mode, start a L4D2 lan game.
