Size has to be 22 to 24", preferrably no more than $200. I'm considering the Asus VH236H and VH238H, would the LED version give me deeper black levels? Any other better monitors in that price range? I know somebody will probably recommend the Dell U2311H but it's $90 more and for that price difference, I could buy a gtx 580 instead of a 570. I've seen the IPS236V at best buy (same panel as the Dell IPS) and actually a TN monitor next to it looked better (Samsung S23A350H to be exact). So I don't see the point of IPS especially when I'm not a professional photographer and I tend to sit directly infront of my monitor when I'm using it anyway.

So any suggestions?

I'll just say 1 thing and you think it through.

How often do you replace a high-end monitor and a GPU?

Probably 3 years for the GPU, I've never had a high end monitor though and don't plan to for a while.

Well im at 5 yrs now for my monitor, and it was high-end back then. Probably still is, and I dont plan on replacing it anytime soon. Take that however way you want, but I would spend the extra $90 for the Dell.

You should have got it directly from Dell, they normally bundle something with it, be it headphones, speakers or even 20-30% off retail price or extended warranty.

Well it's $319.00 at Dell and I'm not interested in any cheap headphones/speakers anyway, as I'll be getting some quality ones soon.

This one is an ISP monitor and 23 inch. I'm playing with a GTX 580 and it looks superb! Great quality for blu-ray as well.
