I am looking for a good SciFi RTS with a good story.

Something along the lines of the following, these are some of my favorites...

Homeworld 1 & 2

Ground Control 1 & 2

Perimeter

Starcraft. Or wait for Starcraft 2 and Dawn of War II.

I would jump at Sins but it doesn't have a story line. Also the Starcraft and Warhammer 40K series really isn't my style. What about these... O.R.B. Battlezone 2 Hegemonia: Legions of Iron

Sins of a solar empire is your best bet as it's probably the closest game to the Homeworld series. There's also Star Wars: Empire at war but I thought that game was only okay

Yeah, I tried Empire at War also but wasn't impressed. Heard the expansion to it was pretty good.

-For something with a lack of story (but who needs it when the cake is this delicious), Sins of a Solar Empire is your best bet

-For some old-school goodness with a great story and varying objectives, give Empire at War +Expansion another shot, you'll like it!

-For something a little different but with a lot of heart, give Conquest: Frontier Wars a go (GS link here)

-For something juicy but might give you a headache trying to run it on Vista, try Imperium Galactica II

-For a bloody good time, I'd really suggest Dawn of War + Expansions

ontop of my suggestion of Sins of a solar empire. I would also like to recommend Galactic civilizations II the only downside is that there's no multiplayer

Thanks, I think I'm sold on Sins, even thought it doesn't have sp campaign. Also, Conquest: Frontier Wars looks interesting, I'll check out the demo later.
