Looking for a good racing game.

I sold my ps3 around a year ago and am starting to miss Gran Turismo 5. But that was really the only game I played on it so that's why I sold it. Anyone know of any racing games that are still kind of active or recent. I think Dirt 3 looks awesome but I've never played any rally racing type game or watched any rally racing. Would I like it? And it doesn't have to be 100% realistic either. Anyone have trackmania 2 canyon? How is that game? I know there aren't that many good racing games out there on pc right now.

I'm psyched for Project Cars but I don't necessarily want to pay for an unfinished game. I see that you can pay around 60$ usd and get access to all the beta builds and get a free copy of the game when it's released. How much content does the game have so far? Is it worth spending that much right now.

Also, how's GRID/The Latest Need For Speed Games?

If you can answer any of these questions/make some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Grid is pretty good. For a fun arcade racing game, I recommend Blur.

I prefer dirt 2 over 3.

3 has a gross sepia color filter on everything and I really dislike the music.

Also prefer the handling in 2 over 3.

I really didn't care for the driving model of Shift or Shift 2. Trackmania 2 is a great deal of fun.. if you're interested in crazy tracks and fun times, I highly recommend it.

PC also owns the sim genre. iRacing made me unable to enjoy GT5, and I also feel it's the best multiplayer racing experience you can have. There's also Race 07, GTR 2, GT Legends, rFactor, Live for Speed...

Dirt 2 & 3 are a good racing game.. I would also recommend GRID.

I'm not a big racing fan but if I play, I play Dirt 3. It's fun...

Dirt 3 is a lot of fun. I didnt like Shift 2 at all.

Project CARS

Shift 2 is the most beautiful,regarding graphics...has the most brands of cars, supports a lot of wheels...all the cars feel different...it feels almost like a simulator...but it isn't quite a simulator :D...but anyway...it is the best racing game on the market(for PC)...

Unfortunatelly shift 2 has a ton of input lag when I use the xbox 360 controller and it makes the game unplayable.

Yes dude get Shift 2(if u have a steering wheel)...its pretty damn awesome...

Shift 2 is pretty good, rFactor is awesome, so is iracing. I think Shift 2 is a great middle of the road title, great graphics, tons of cars, can be pretty racy, loads of tracks, high quality from the folks who are making Project Cars. Get a wheel and you'll enjoy it.

Avoid iRacing unless you like a sim that attaches itself to your wallet and try's to drain every dollar you have.
