There's X1950XT for $169 in Newegg, and I think it's pretty much the best DX9 card made.

Is that an AGP or PCI-e ? But anyway, if you are looking for an AGP card (the 9800 Pro is AGP) I'd go with the 7600GT. I'm pretty sure it's the best AGP card currently, but I could be wrong - I haven't checked out the market for a long time.

Or... if you are patient like I am :D... wait until the DX 10 cards are cheaper and get them instead.

Oh yeah, that's a pci-e naturally, agp is prolly much more expensive.

But if it's AGP you need, I recommend X850XT, I remember seeing one in newegg for a measly 65bucks. It doesn't have SM3, but it will still beat even 7600GT in many situations.

I have a Geforce 7600 GS 256MB and couldnt be happier. You can probably get one for around $100-$125 on newegg now. Its a good low priced card. One thing to look for when buying a graphics card, other than the memory size, is how many pixel pipelines it has. Sometimes the box wont even tell you, and the employees at most stores probably wont know what you are talking about. The newegg site tells you though. You might want to look for something with 12-16 pipelines, which will probably be in your budget. (The 7600 GS has 12). Hope that helps, good luck!

Newegg.com - The reason why the rest of the world hates USA... (They have the cheapest prices I know of, but only ship inside usa ..to my knowledge)
