Laptop Choice... HD2600 or GeForce 84/8700

The laptop that I am looking at has a Radeon HD2600 vs a laptop with a GeForce 8700(GT)

Basically I ams asking how does the HD compare to the 8700GT... or a 8400GS?

Well i think that would be true other than the laptop (with same specs) with a 8400 costs 400 more and the 8700 like 900...

Personally, I dont have 2800 laying around for a laptop. plus the salesperson told me that I should purchase the 600 dollar warranty because the 8700 has a tendancy to break...

For (CAD) $2,300 ( + the salespersons much needed warrenty as to this laptop will break a lot of times and you will have to pay like a 1000 bucks to get it repaired. WARRANTY: 500 for 3 years)
I dont really want to spend this much money on one but if i do, how long will it last me (I mean years, 4 years, 5 years?)

So if the HD2600 = GeForce 8600GT then it is quite good and there is no major presormance gain over the 8700GT?

I mean, will i be able to play crysis on high settings with AA on (noting that the recent drivers fixed the aa problems)? (using the 2600 and in turn the 8600?) or will the game lag badly (considering a 1024*768 res)?

doubtful that you will play on high let alone with aa on

How do I know that it is a 2600 XT, all that the price tag says is that it is a 2600... and the store has all their laptops locked (pws protected)... so all in all the HD2600 is on the high midrange/low highrange mobile graphics chipset scale?

So I guess its a good laptop then?

and just a couple more questions; is the geforce 8600gs better or the hd2600 better? if so, is it still better than the 8600gt?
