The R9 270 is the same exact card as both the 7870ghz and the 270X (the 270x is an overclocked 270 non x).
Since the 270x (which is the same as your card) runs at 1050mhz stock, you should be able to get at least 1050mhz on stock volts alone.
Just so your not confused, AMD release the 7870ghz almost two years ago and it was clocked round 1000-1050mhz on most models. The released the 7870ghz and gave it the new name of R9 270x. They simply took the 7870ghz/270x and down clocked it to around 900-950mhz and called is the r9 270 (its the same exact card as the 7870ghz/270x, its just clocked lower).
Not to sound noisy but with a i5 at 4.2ghz (2x the CPU power as the next gen consoles) and 8 gigs of ram, I would assume that you would aim a little higher in terms of graphics cards (at least a GTX 760).
Your CPU/ram will easily last you the entire generation so im surprised you didn't spend a little more for a better GPU (I'm guessing your waiting for the 20nm GPU's that are due Q3 2014 ?).
