Trying to get some high end gaming rig, and here is what I have come up with:
CPU: Intel Core-i5 3570k ($219.99)
VGA: XFX Doiuble D Radeon HD 7970 3GB Black Edition ($419.99)
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws X 16GB ($89.99)
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V Pro LGA 1155 ($207.99)
Case: CM Haf X ($179.99)
CD/DVD Drive: Samsung DVD Burner SATA Model -OEM ($17.99)
HDD: Samsung Sandpoint F3 1TB 7200RPM ($84.99)
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB ($149.99)
PSU: CM Silent Pro M700 Bronze Certified ($89.99)
Monitor: Asus 23.6 Full 1080P Widescreen LCD w/ Speaker ($169.99)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 ($80.99)
Extra: NZXT Touch Screen Fan Controller ($24.99)
I'm also replacing original case fans to the aftermarket ones.
I am probably going to order 3 CM Megaflow 200mm LED fans for top and rear of the Haf X case, and I'm also going to get two more fans from Noctua (120mm and 140mm).
All of these came down to a little over $1,800 from newegg.
Yes, I play and want to play pretty hefty games, and I will be overclocking.
Budget? I am willing to spend money for high end gaming rig, but I just want to know if there is anything that I went way beyond
where I could have saved some money?
Thanks alot for the help guys.
