Our team is kickin' butt right now.

We've produced over 1 million points so far in October (roughly a 20% increase month-over-month) and it's only the 24th!

Can I just say...it's cool to actually be able to communicate with my team mates via this forum. Up until now, I've never been able to say anything to other folders on the Gamespot team. I don't know if they're part of the Gamespot community anymore.

Anyway, I want to climb up to team rank 440 if we can. Then I kinda want to play X-COM. I'll keep folding of course, but...X-COM.

...but you're right Nirgali is a beast at folding. I think he's in the same situation as you...waiting for Stanford to update the cleint drivers so that 600 series cards can fold. So when that is up and running you guys are going to absolutely dominate. I can't wait. I won't be able to take advantage of it, but you guys are going to become MVPs.

Did anyone notice this sad news about PS3 folding?

Yeah, I actually know what you mean about the PPD.

The only reason why my PPD is high is because I've been folding for a lot of hours lately. If I folded for the amount of time that I used to, I'd only be at 4K-6K PPD. Remember, I have both my i7 and my GTX 560Ti folding. There are some of you who are folding only with your processor because of the folding client not supporting your video cards. So essentially, I'm using 2 folding clients to your 1...and I still have to fold over 12 hours a day to get the PPD I have.

Once we hit 440 I want to play X-Com and finish my Witcher campaign so I can import the save file into The Witcher 2. Again, I'll still fold, but my PPD will probably be cut in half.

At any rate, it's been a blast feeling like a team instead of separate people randomly contributing to the same pool of points. I wish we had more active team members. There's over 1,000 inactive members. Even if people only contribute 250 PPD it would still be great to have more people active.

I need to learn to overclock! Shakes, you keep pushing me to number 3 every time I pause my client at work to play a game or two with my colleagues!

I updated the GPU.txt maybe a week ago but it still hasnt detected it. Maybe the 660 Ti is still a little too new.Kurushio

Team rank 440. An absolutely phenomenal effort team! We did 1.5 million in the month of October and climbed 15 ranks!!

I remember when I first started folding on my PS3. I was in the 900's in team rank. Shakes and Calkulon were at the top of the list...not too different from now really.

I thought 'who cares? I'll never get that far up the list anyway.'

Eventually I started folding with my PC. With the vastly increased PPD I started to rocket up the list. Then I hit the wall of the top 15.

Is any of this sounding familiar?

Well there is a new version they released and now my CPU is back folding and now so is my 660 Ti. It took a bit of time for it to start folding after starting the program. I didnt think either were going to work.

Yeah, folding during the cold months are the BEST!! Having your PC act as a space heater is killing two birds with one stone.

Although, really, I have no right to talk about cold months. I've never lived in a place where "truly" cold months happen.

You know, with our new team PPD we've really got some decent upward momentum. I don't know where the wall is for this PPD, but we don't seem to be anywhere near it yet. The teams that appear on our conquest list are still sooner than our soonest threat.

Right now it says my PPD is between 20-23K. Really liking the GPU since im getting about 800pts per hour of folding. Also unlike with my 8800GT folding i can still watch netflix. Before it would lag everything so bad that if i was using the computer i would have to pause the GPU. Now there is still a very slight studder on netflix but really not too bad and not noticeable while using the computer on anything else so far.Kurushio
