I am able to play the Crysis Demo at 1600 x 1200 resolution, no AA, Medium Settings, and it runs perfectly smooth with no lag whatsoever. Is that considered good for a gaming PC these days?

That would depend on hardware. Not witch game it can play on witch graphic settings. Also would depend on the games u like to play. A good gameing computer in any sence depends on the games alone.

if you can run crysis with those settings you can probably run every other game out to date on all high settings, so yes thats a decent system, I would guess you have a 7900 series card, 2gigs of ram, and a p4 or amd 64 cpu?

That's the demo, which gets much worse performance than the actual game due to performance tweaks and the like. You should be able to run the full game on high, and smoother.

I ran the demo on low with slight lag, I run the full game on medium with no lag. (except on certain levels or during huge battles)

ive got pretty much the same setup right now, I forgot about the performance in the demo compared to the performance in the full version patched to 1.2(1).

the system I thought you had was my old one and I could run crysis on med pretty good, but with what ive got now I can play crysis on high although it stutters quite a bit here and there so it's best to use a custom config like cubans level 4.

so yah your rig is a good gameing PC, crysis will bring it to it's knees though, crysis to me really isn't a game but more of a benchmark for future hardware. so dont let it get you down if you cant run crysis on what you think you should be able to. theres people with super machines (quad core, dual 9800 series, etc etc) who still arnt satisfied with crysis.
