Is this processor any good.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103773

If thats not a good choice what is a better one around that price range.

I currently play BF 2142 and im going to get Call of Duty 4 and my current processor is getting behind on the current hardware.

I currently have an AMD 3200 at 2 Ghz

I also am planning on getting Crysis in the future so keep that in mind.

As far as a compatible socket goes you are fine. So to answer your question, yes. the 6000 is perfect and a great buy for this generation of Dual-Core CPU's.

well u have to carefully take off your heatsink and fan off the CPU take it out, put the new one in, apply a VERY VERY thin layer of thermal paste (like paper thin...too much or too litte will cause it to get hotter then it should lol...) then reapply your heatsink and fan, and your done :P

Are you sure that your current A64 3200+ is in AM2 flavor? Chances are you have a Socket 939 motherboard and processor, along with the older DDR RAM.

To use an X2 6000+, you'll need an AM2 motherboard and DDR2 RAM.
