no too big lowish res lcd for that side 5400rpm hd bad laptop i'd rather just get a 14in laptop with a hd4000 with a 1600x900 display or an actual gaming laptop

eh, its ok at best. its definatly no gaming laptop but you should be able to play some games on it. you wont be able to max any graphicly demanding games but you can still enjoy a lot of them nonetheless.

Depends on how much it costs. The Lenovo Ideapad Y580 that I just got pretty much has the same specs as that laptop with a GTX 660M instead of a GT 630M and it cost me $900 without the BluRay drive. My laptop can run games like Battlefield 3 on High in 768p @ 55+ FPS.

Its about a little batter then my PC which i bought more then a year ago for less then your laptop costs. But yes, it will perform fine for a laptop. Might not be on the highest settings but skyrim should definately be playable, Dwarf fortress as well :D.

its just slightly better then my current laptop (which is a few years old), which can play just about every PC game out there, thought obviously not on the highest settings. Unless u plan on running all new games at the lowest settings or buying another laptop soon, you are gonna need a stronger GPU.

This, how much does that thing cost? Do not buy a laptop for gaming, ever. Repeat: Do not buy a laptop if one of your primary usages for it will be gaming. Spend $300-$400 on a cheap laptop to do work on and then spend $800-$1000 on desktop parts and put together a beast of a machine. Doing anything else would be a mistake, a big one. You may not realize it when you buy it, but when it comes time to upgrade, you'll deeply regret buying a laptop.

You can buy a gaming laptop.
I was using my np8130 as my desktop for a while, and it did fine.
(560m, 2720es, 8 gigs of ram, ssd + 500gb seagate momentus xt, 1920x1080 lcd oc's to 95hz)

but you need to get an actual gaming laptop.
TC shouldn't go somewhere in between.

he would literally be getting the worst parts of both sides
