Is there an open-ended Mercenary Management game for pc?

Hi

Like the title says, is there a game out there that will let you manage a mercenary company? Jagged Alliance actually came close to what I had in mind. But is there a game without a storyline? Where you just accept missions? Preferably all over the world... Buy mercs, equipment etc?

Or maybe there is a mod for JA series I don't know?

You do have a old game called Wages of War : The Business Of Battle.

There you get missions from various clients and a budget and need to hire Mercs, buy equiptment, intel, mission training and transport to the mission within a set amount of time and without going over the budget.

Once on a mission you need to keep in mind that if a bought weapon is lost or a merc is killed then your pay upon completing the mission is severely reduced. The missions are also turn based combat.

I looked it up, that is indeed a lot like what I'm looking for. To bad it's so old. Will be very difficult to find the game. Any other suggestions?

I've played Mount and Blade. But I would prefer a game set in the current time. Or near future. Wages of War comes close because I also like the idea of arranging the transport etc. of your troops. But maybe there's a game or mod for a game that's not tha

I've heard there is some trouble with Wages of War on the newer pc's, so I'm not going to order it. Like mouse issieus and crashes...

Still no one else knows another game like this?
