Is my PC still good enough for modern games?

As I'm still using Windows 7 I've been getting notices about support ending and needing to upgrade to Windows 10. They are also saying that since my PC is a few years old I should consider getting a new one.

As far as I can tell my PC runs great, but I haven't tried any 2019 games. Mainly I've been playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Batman Arkham Knight, and Doom and I can run these games on pretty high settings.

I built my PC a few years ago and here are the specs:

Core i7 2600K CPU @3.4GHZ

8GB RAM

Geforce GTX 1070

Intel SSD5 512GB and Samsung 850 Pro SSD 256GB

Considering the hardware above and that fact that it's working fine for games so far I don't see any reason to upgrade anything. Do you?

CPU getting a bit long in the tooth, but you can still use it for modern games.

Honestly I think you're good. You should upgrade to Win 10 tho. There are plenty of ways to get cheap keys. Check Ebay. Last Win 10 Pro key I got was like $5 (OEM key so it's bound to your mobo. If you ever upgrade your hardware you'll have to buy a new key).

No reason. Games should run fine (reality is most games in 2019 are running/developed on modified game engines that are 3+ years old).

I would keep your system till the next generation of consoles/game engines roll out in early 2021 then go from there.

I think it's still free to upgrade to W10. Even though they ended that deal years ago, I upgraded not too long ago for free. All you need is a legit W7.

If you don't need it than you don't need it. Seems like you are happy with it and the games listed isn't too demanding. Theres always ebay w10 key if you can't upgrade fyi, I bought one from a good rated seller and it worked.

Personally upgraded to r5 2600 from 2500k, cause 4c/4t could no longer keep up for the past few years actually. It may actually run better than I think 7600k those extra threads are finally put to good use. If you upgrade theres plenty of good options now and in the future. Amd ryzens are so good now.

It looks fine, if you want to improve it you can.

Overclock the CPU, if you have a good aftermarket cooler, if not get one either a big air cooler or AIO liquid cooler, what ever you preference.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is an old faithfull, under £30.

For AIO liquid cooler the Coolermaster Master Liquid lite is around £35.

Upgrade to 16gb of ram, the odd game you play will use it. DDR3 ram isn't expensive.

Upgrade to Windows 10, other users have posted here with how to do that cheap or even for free
