Ok, I bought a LED LG monitor 20 inches with a resolution of 1600x900 last year to replace my old CRT and I really like it. The thing is: I bought this monitor specially because of the 1600x900 resolution. I had a 9600 GT at the time and I had to choose the highest resolution that wouldn't be too much for the card (after some research, I chose 900p), but now I have a GTX 460 that can handle 1920x1080 fine. I want your opinion. Do you think it would be worth it to buy a new monitor just for the extra resolution?

I don't think the small difference in resolution is going to blow you away but you can get 24" 1080p monitors now for like $150 bucks. I would think you would enjoy the difference in sreen size more then the small increase in resolution. If your going to do it at least get a 23" or 24" screen and make it worth your while.

My two cents.

Actually, 22 inches is the biggest size that can fit into the desk here (I measured it)

Just get a new monitor when your old one dies.

Probably not. Just enjoy playing games at that resolution.

I personally have been playing at 1680 x 1050 on a 21.6" screen for 3 years and enjoy it. Occasionally I switch over to my 40" Sharp Aquos which is 1080P and I actually don't like the experience as much.
