Is a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT better than a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT

I've heard that the 8800 is better in performance, but the 9800 is a newer model, what benefits does it offer?

Uh where do you live because it doesn't came out till at least another month here in the states so I couldn't give you an answer

I'm assuming you meant the 9600GT, and the 8800GT would be better in that situation.

do u mean the gtx ? the gt is not out yet. but this should be a no brainer.....of course a 9800gt will better than an 8800gt

its available as an option on the hp website for one desktops. Its set to ship before a month from now...

Ofcourse the 9800GT better than 8800GT, but i think the gap is not significant..
