Hello there, I have a fairly outdated Intel motherboard (D915GAG/D915PSY) that has the front speed of 800/533/400 MHz.

This motherboard is in the Pentium 4 family, but uses LGA775.

I have been using a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz 530J processor for many years, but have noticed how it is no longer optimal for PC gaming.

Would I be able to install an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8 Ghz processor even though it has the front speed of 1066, but also uses LGA775?

...or am I stuck with a processor that only has the FSB of 800Mhz?

Will I even be able to install an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with this motherboard?

Thanks for any answers.

I just checked the supported processors list for the motherboard and it only seems to list Pentium 4 and Celeron Processors.

I think its time to invest in a brand new PC, or wait for the core I5's.

I think the P4 is a bit old now.
