Okay I want to buy one of those but the problem is that I have the Nvidia Geforce 8400 gs.. So I was wondering how high can I put the settings on them and get smooth performance.. Thanks :)

I'm not sure about Dawn of War 2, but you'll be able to max out all of the settings on Halo 2. That being said, I really wouldn't recommend getting Halo 2 for pc. If you have the PC version of Halo 1, I'd recommend you'd stick with that as it has a much larger community .

From experience I ran Halo 2 with a 8400GS(256mb) GPU and the performance was very poor, and this is due to Halo 2 not being very scalable. I will certainly priority Dawn of War 2 over Halo 2 bud.

I ordered Halo 2 the other day, only because my Xbox copy broke 2 years ago and I figured I might as well get the PC version. It hasn't come yet so I can't help you, granted I have a GTX280 so I wouldn't expect any problems on my end anyway.

Go with DoW2. Neither of those games are particularly good, but DoW2 is...less bad? It's a rather odd coincidence that you are trying to decide between a heavily dumbed down FPS and a heavily dumbed down RTS. Performance wise, you can probably max Halo 2 if you are using XP + The Unofficial Patch. I hear the performance is really bad on Vista though. DoW2 is quite a resource hog, but it's also pretty scalable, so you will definitely be able to play it with a smooth framerate (and even then, it's an RTS, smooth framerates aren't as big a deal) at probably low-med settings.

Dawn of War on a 8400 gs will run low-medium...not high... my 8600 GT wouldnt run high, then I upgraded to 9800 GT which is much better.
