Check your power settings, your system is probably set to Power Saver or Balanced. It should be set to Performance. What are you running XP or Vista?

Some laptops have advanced power management that slows the CPU down while running on battery.

You have a PC that automatically throttles down the speed to save power (Intel speedstep). You disable this feature in the BIOS.

They key you have to pressto enter the BIOSdepends on the manufacturer. The key is typically displayed in the first boot screen (usually F2, Del orF6)

Press the F2 key when the system boots up, you know while your seeing the ASUS boot screen.

It should say what key to press to enter your BIOS on the bottom of the screen as well. But ASUS is F2...I think. If that doesn't work try: ESC, F1, F2, F10, F11, F12 or Delete.

Wouldn't it just be easier to play games with the computer plugged in? I'm assuming you probably don't get a whole lot of play time anyway running on just the battery.

And you call this a "serious" problem????

Just play with your laptop plugged to the wall and presto, you dont have any lag
