Thinking about getting the Crysis re-release tommarow and want to know from the PC players how long the game was. Is the campaign worth $20?

Its been a little while since I played it, but I remember it being decently long. Maybe 10-12 hours.

Perhaps at release price, but these days you might as well just get the Maximum Edition.

Think it took me just over 8 hours my first play though, but to me the game has some pretty high replayability.

This sounds about right, no more than 10 depending how much time you spend messing around in the jungle. The ending is quite frustrating though

well, I suppose I finished it really quickly, first time I playied it through I clocked in 8 maybe 9 hours, then after that 7-8 hours. It is a fairly good game I just really disliked the alien part :P

but its worth buying.

I finished it in 10-12 hours on the highest difficulty, mostly because I was proning most of the time since the ammount of enemies was insane. Warhead is pretty short but it's more fun than Crysis.

Depends heavily on how you play. I often keep replaying the same parts since the Quic-Save/Load works really fast. 15 Hours to me.

In my opinion it is. I don't replay games unless it's something like Mass Effect or Fallout.

I think the game still has a fair amount of fun value with the graphics and those goofy nka guys coming after you. Though the alien part felt epic and intriguing enough for me to push thru to the end, lets say enough to make me want to kill that boss instead of playing sc2 on launch day ;P.

Warhead is short, true, but it's a huge blast while it lasts and it has a surprising amount of replay value. It's one of my most replayed games. I wouldn't call it a waste of money. Same goes for the original Crysis. It's about 10-12 hours, but it's well worth replaying multiple times.

megadeth1117
I paid $50 for the game 4 years ago and never even started a multiplayer game, if that's any help. I've also gone back quite many times and replayed the first level (same one from the demo) - mostly to benchmark different PC configurations, but it's a really fun benchmark..

anywhere from 13-15 hours? you can easily put in more just messing around in the levels. the sandbox levels realy lend themselves to replay. its great and easily worth 20 dollars alone. i bought it for 50. its one of the most fun singleplayer fps out there. you really need to learn how to mess around in that game to truly appreciate it .

Warhead is a much better experience, it was 3-4 hours for a reason, the game was 20€ at release, it included a better multiplayer besides a short, intense, way better executed campaign.

I seem to recall killing IMMENSE hours in the original Crysis campaign, and the Warhead campaign, though definitely shorter, was no slouch either. I'm typically ALL about the competitive multiplayer, but Crysis is one of the very, very few games in recent memory that I could sit and literally get lost in. Not to mention I've replayed both campaigns 3 times at least.

yeah, i have have played those games so many times as well. at least 3 or 4 times all the way through and i go back and replay levels monthly. some of the most fun ive ever had in a fps. The most interactive sandbox enviroment ever (that i can think of, especially in terms of detail)
