Ok so i just got a macbook recently. I have a dell xps 400(yes i know its old) and i also have a wireless setup on a different comp. my mac and my xps both get internet from that source. since apple gave me a free printer, i connected that to my xps, but i also want my mac to be able to print from that printer. i tried to hook it up but i cant seem to get it to work. any suggestions?
Open Finder, and go to Applications. In Applications, open the Utilties folder and run the Printer Setup Utility. On the menu bar, click "Add". A new window will pop up. At the bottom, click "More Printers...". Choose "Windows Printing" in the first drop-down menu, and then choose your workgroup in the second. Your other computer should show up there with the printer.
