I would do the offer since he's offering so much for an old 560ti ($135 is good money for the card). $35 isn't bad for the 650ti boost SC since it has twice the Vram, lower power consumption, and it will be a little bit faster (im guessing 20-25% faster since its a tad faster than a stock 7850 and the superclocked edition of the 650ti is almost 1100mhz).
As for SLI i'm not really sure on it since ive never done it. From what ive heard most people get a 60-70% increase depending on the game and drivers. SLI 650's should give you pretty good performance for the price (especially since you will be able to get both for less than $200).
Even if you don't SLI and sell the 650 later down the road, you only technically paid $35 for it (it will work out better than keeping the 560 and trying to sell that)
keep the 560ti the 650ti is a downgrade if you want though you could sell it chip in the extra money and get a 660ti
Not an upgrade,more sidegrade.[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]

Yes, go for it.
I'm not sure why some people here say it's not considered as an upgrade.

Hmm, strange considering the 650 Ti has more CUDA cores... :?
The TC wants the Boost version of the 650 Ti though.
Doesn't mean more performance[QUOTE="Cyberdot"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"] Not an upgrade, more sidegrade.

Doesn't mean more performanceAh, I see that I'm wrong.
Check this out.
But still, the TC wants the Boost version. Unfortunately, the option isn't in the benchmark.
I'm having a hard time trying to see how the 560 Ti is faster than 650 Ti, so I looked at the specifications at Nvidia website. I certainly thought more CUDA cores = the better, but it apparently turns out that it isn't... Better memory interface and width on the 560 Ti must be making that big of a difference then. Interesting... so yeah I've learnt something here.

Specs mean nothing usuallyWhat ? Reviews are saying that this card is overall a little faster than a 7850

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/evga_geforce_gtx_650_ti_boost_sc_review,13.html (it beats the 7850 in crysis 3, metro 2033, bioshock infinite, BF3....ect)
On all the graphs with a 560ti, the boost SC is getting usually a FPS increase of 20%+
Yeah, I just got a Tahiti 7870 (PowerColor EZ) on sale for $200 at Newegg. They had a 2GB GTX 660 on sale for $165, but it sold out before I could buy one.. Also, the HD 7790 2GB looks to be universally faster than the GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB for the same price, and it comes with a free game too... $169.99 - GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7790 2GB Video CardSpend something more worthwhile like 7870xt.

Also, the HD 7790 2GB looks to be universally faster than the GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB for the same price, superclockedThats weird if true since the boost SC is 20% faster than the 1GB 7790 and is overall a tad faster than the 7850 (thats means that the 2GB 7790 is at least 5% faster than a 7850 which is strange if true).
Back on topic I would recommend the TC to either get the 650 ti boost SC or GTX 660 (non ti) if you want to do your so called plan (buy the best 6 pin card you can get now and if the future cards suck you end up sli'ing for a little over $200 due to the $135 your getting for the card you have now)

I was going by these benchmarks comparing the 1GB 7790 and 2GB 650 Ti Boost.. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Radeon-HD-7790-vs-GeForce-GTX-650-Ti-BOOST-Video-Card-Review/1754/11I was going by these benchmarks comparing the 1GB 7790 and 2GB 650 Ti Boost.. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Radeon-HD-7790-vs-GeForce-GTX-650-Ti-BOOST-Video-Card-Review/1754/11superclockedThats benchmark has to be mistaken (not only are they running every game at medium but it shows the 7790 faster in crysis which is a nvidia dominate game).
