Yes I know I shouldn't... have bought a Dell, but I did.

And I need some help. I have the following computer that I want to update to be able to play Bioshock and Crysis with good graphics.

HAS ANY OWNER OF A DELL DIMENSION UPGRADED HIS G CARD?

I have aDell Dimension 8400 P4 processor 550 with HT technology (3.4 Ghz, 800fsb,1MB cache)

-2048 MB DDR400 (2x1024)

-256mb nVidia Ge Force 6800 PCIe(16 pipes...I unlocked the 4 that were lock).

I was wondering if I buy more DDR2 memory ( I can add 2 more Gb) and I buy a good PCi Express nvidia card if I will be able to play Crysis at a good resolution. Also, what card do you suggest? A DirectX9? I have also windows XP, should I upgrade to Vista?THanks for your time

I wouldn't upgrade to Vista, And you have enough memory if you have XP. Just because its still a little buggy with some games now. You MUST MUST MUSt get a better graphics card and Processor. You could probably run Bioshock on good graphics but for games later, you going to have to trouble. How much are you willing to pay for your card?

Around 200 euros (so around $250-$275)... If I have a Dell, can I upgrade my processor without buying a new computer?

what's you problem? it's PCI E as i see so you can put up any video card you want to

get yourself 8800GTS 320Mb or better - you'll be able to play Crysis and Bioshock on high graphics
