I'm not the best with PCs but heres what im looking at

NZXT Apollo Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Western Digital Caviar 160GB 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s

 AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+(65W) Windsor 2.4GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor

GIGABYTE GA-M55plus-S3G Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 ATX AMD Motherboard

EVGA 256-P2-N761-AR GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

 CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 two of theses

I want AMD because of the AM2 Socket, i know AMD plans to stick with that socket and im not sure what intel is doing they seem to like to change their socket. Another thing is, i need help with a PSU.

It's your money pal, and not too long ago I would've agreed with you on the Athlon 64 purchase, but seems to me that if you're serious about building out a nice gaming rig, today you'd have to go with Intel.

I know there are rabid fans in both camps, but I'm not one of them.  I'll switch loyalties at the drop of a hat, depending on who's making the fastest processor - and you can read the benchmarks yourself.

Instead I would get a thermaltake for about the same price. Thermaltake makes quality psu's.

Nope can't recommend that or say it's good. You definitely need something nicer.

Agree, but also suggest you consider lower latency (faster) RAM like this for only $95:

Don't get the 8600GT. It's crap for gaming.

Save a few more bucks for a 8800GTX 320MB, which will utterly destroy it, or alternatively get a X1950XT, which should be in the same price range as the 8600GT, and yet will outperform it.
