Yes, they are all the same, just remember to get the HDMI 1.4 standard.

Yes, it matters!
One HDMI cable takes both video and audio through one cable and resolution is up to 1080p.

For the other question:
The same HDMI cable will work on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

Yah, I was reading Cnets guide and they recommend monoprice. They are like $3 for 8ft or something like that. The ones at Bestbuy are frickin like $50-$300

Yeah in my experience the price doesn't reflect the quality in this situation. I got a $15 cable and my friend got a $50 one, and damned if I can see the difference.

HDMI cable is digital, instead of composite and component cables which are analog and there for the quality of the cables is important.
As a HDMI, it doesn't matter if it's only 5$ cable or a 100$ cable, quality is excactly the same.

Only difference is how they made the cable, and that is shown in the price, not in the quality of video and audio.

Well, you can buy HDMI cables off Amazon for literally pennies, no lie (I bought one for 1 cent, but shipping was of course $2.50). That's for a 6' long cable too. Also, this cable compared to the $50 one from microsoft (which I own due to the optical audio accessory it comes with) gives the same quality picture. I have about 5 HDMI cables ranging from $0.01 to $2.50 to $50 which all perform the same.
