When did Sheldon get his ears pierced?
don't u say anythin bad about master race linus
4k ips displays at 30hz with at least 50ms of input lag for those colors
and run that with lightboost for even more color accuracy
How much will nVidia milk the GK110 chip?
I think that must be it now. Though 3 isn't many compared to other chips.
I think we could probably expect a dual GK110 Gpu card at some point next year
king of bullshit.... now the "mighty" titan is priced higher than a 780ti and 780 is the same price as r9 290x .... I feel sorry for whoever bought titans and 780's ....
I would never buy one (due to price) but its a pretty fast card.
What impressed me the most is that on techpowerup they where able to get freaking 28% overclocking on the core clock on the freaking stock cooler (DAMN). Performance wise that put it right at gtx 690 levels (if theres a 20nm card with similar performance for $400-450 then I would be a buyer, lucky that's a likely scenario).
@FaustArp:
Did they give you the money back for selling overpriced ?
look i bought a pair of 580's the day they were released i AM NOT a fanboy of any kind but the pricing on the titan and 780 was absurd from the start .
if you have the money to waste thats fine ... but that doesnt make your purchases smarter... the performance on the titans was never that impressive to begin with

They are not for sale.

Don't feel sorry for me baby! My 780's are fine and I don't care that I paid £500 each for them. :)
I love how you conveniently left out the HardOCP review where they came to this conclusion:
The GTX 780 Ti does not dominate the Radeon R9 290X. Instead, it kind of helps prove that the Radeon R9 290X is a powerful (and power hungry) beast of a video card. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti with all its SMX units and CUDA Cores at play, is only equaling the performance and experience of the Radeon R9 290X. The GTX 780 Ti isn't overshadowing the R9 290X, or claiming a clear win or victory. The GTX 780 Ti is merely matching the gameplay experience of the Radeon R9 290X. In fact, the GTX 780 Ti is matching the R9 290X gameplay experience at a $150 premium.

I didn't conveniently leave anything out I just quickly chose 3 random sites that I frequent.
I'm sure there are dozens I haven't included, good and bad.
That seems biased. the 290x is much louder, and doesn't oc nearly as well.
The 290 on the otherhand is a much more interesting card.

Ya the 290 has amazing price/performance. Can't use that stock cooler though.
In the queue for my Step-up from a 780 :) Hopefully I'll have it soon.
Not happy with your classy?

That will be one hot card. The power draw will be huge unless they do something with it.

My classy is a bad clocker and its only 17 quid to step up,so i thought why not ;D
I see nVidia has also released a new driver... 331.65.
I've had those for a while.
Hm I guess not, they only came out yesterday. I don't remember installing them though :P

Probably had 331.43 or something like that... :P

Go for it then man. I probably would do the same.

If you have a step-up, there's no question about it...
@metalslug10: You get what you pay for. I had a 6870 crossfire setup, after pulling my hair out trying to get games to work a gave up and went Nvidia GTX 670 sli and will never go back never. I do not care it it cost's more if it always works when i want to play a game. It is rather funny how you all cry over $200 when your pc gaming. You all should stick to the consoles if money is a problem
Not impressed! WAY overpriced, if it's $599 then we are talking. Not surprised, nVidia's goal is to take every dollar from you, just look at the ridiculous prices of a Titan and they will find suckers who will buy it. The R9 290 is the best way to go, in my opinion. We are talking Titan Level performance at the price of $399. :O

This is true. I mean essentially if you wait 6 month's you could have gotten something like AMD R9 290X for $549.9 or even TWO R9 290's with $200 to spare and it would have been future proof for several years.

I always find buying most top tier cards is a waste. You can go a step lower and get nearly as much power for less money and the same lifespan.
so to summarize, nvidia is barely matching the r290x with the 780ti in performance while having more transistors, more shaders, and faster memory ram, and with AMD's gpu downclocking itself. Basically, AMD has more room to drop the price, nvidia does NOT. The 780ti is no king, I wouldn't say that there is a clear king, not until AMD can fix its cooler issues, but even with that I still would say there isn't a clear victor here.
BTW, 780 and titan owners got screwed over royally....the 780ti has more shaders, faster memory, higher mem bandwidth than the titan/780 and costs less too. Good to see nvidia fanboys getting fleeced once again

Those 290, 290x and 780 results seem very artificial and fake. As if they wanted to let the 780 beat the 290x. Normally when you have a 0.x difference that's just statistical noise and not significant but in this case they almost always happen to be in favor of the 780. It can be coincidence of course but it just seems suspicious.

I don't see how, but okay. Believe whatever you want to believe, I guess.
Only around 1% of PC gamers can afford this card, so I'd hardly consider this a good thing for PC gaming. When is it going to be cost efficient to game on a PC? When I can purchase an entire nxt-gen system for half the price of a video card, I think it's safe to say that PC gaming is going to be an ultra-niche only open to rich people.

1% comes from PC's in the world not PC GAMERS... You are a absolute ________! *fill in the blank*
Look at the benchmark section or the system thread to see just how many enthusiasts live among you.
Most hobby's can be expensive aside from gaming mine is photography... My DSLR's and lenses cost around £5-6,000. I have friends who buy season tickets to watch football that costs them £1,000's a year and more once you include travel and hotel prices.
Classifying something as expensive or "niche" doesn't make it redundant especially if there are measurable difference in quality which is most hardware based hobby's... i.e you get what you pay for. It's superior and there's nothing you can say to make it any less desirable to someone who can afford it.

lol (WTF is this ?). My video card that I paid less than $200 for (7870XT at 1.2ghz) is faster than both the xboxone/ps4's GPU combined...... (your basing cost efficient on an enthusiast item which makes no sense).
The consoles are so weak any decent CPU from the last three years will be fine and most people are either good on ram or can upgrade for cheap (since its been dirt cheap the last few years).
How is a sub $200 card getting 2x the power of the next gen consoles and the consoles using lowend CPU"s (which means most people are good CPU wise) mean that the PC isn't cost efficient ? (do you even know what in the hell your talking about ?).
You want to talk about cost efficient ? Paying $400-500 for a consoles, $50 a year for online, $10-15 more expensive games ALL just to have a mediocre GPU and a weak laptop based CPU (yeah those consoles sound like a freaking steal...........).

Goodluck running ghost and bf4, witcher 3 and all other next-gen games with that.
