Do you think 2 7970's can max it out? I dont trust rockstar.

Of course you will be fine. GTA 4 did a good job of pushing the console hardware/it was a pretty bad port job and yet the requirements still aren't that high in terms of present day hardware (midrange cards now a days can run it on very high, even with the crappy port job).
GTA 5 is running on a slighly more efficent engine (same engine as GTA 4) so the requirement shouldn't be that much higher than GTA 4 (all there doing for GTA 5 is making the RAGE engine a little more efficent in hopes of getting better draw distance and better lighting/shadows).
Minimum requirements will be an old Core 2 quad + an 8800 GT or something like that.Â
Â
Recommended will be a 2500K with a GTX 670/AMD 7950
Â
However nothing will be able to max the game because Rockstar = worst company when it comes to PC ports. Â The port will be horrible and nearly unplayable for those without a great rig.
Minimum GPU will be a 4000 AMD series or GT 200 series Nvidia.
Â
CPU more than likely Phenom II and intel Q series or better.
Max Payne 3 wasn't a port, it was developed together with consoles http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/max-payne-3/1221451p1.htmlThey did a pretty good port with Max Payne 3 so maybe it won't be so bad of a port.

Uh no..... (you do realize that this game is a 360/ps3 game right ? This isn't a next gen game). Its running on a slighly modified RAGE enegine (which is a 7 year old engine.......).I have a feeling it will need atleast 4gb vram to fully maxout at 1080p.

Lets get real here (I don't even know why theres a thread on this).

Well, he looks suspiciously like The Joker...
[QUOTE="Cyberdot"]Of course they mean something. They serve as a guide for consumers. Your comment is erroneous on all accounts.System requirements means nothing.

If guidelines for consumers really meant something, they sure miss their point. Half the people don't understand what they mean and the other half doesn't care. In the end, they all wind-up here...
