Nope its a really big job to match a GPU to a Motherboard, leave it to the profesionals if your unsure as things may go BOOM!!

That and for the price an AMD 6770/6790 or even better a 6850 ( for a bit more ) are much better options

I'm basically a PC amateur and I didn't even realize you had to take the motherboard into consideration. Wow. I want to eventually go with a 6770/5770, or a maybe a under 200.00 Nvidia card, and a upgraded power supply, so maybe I should check to see if the motherboard is compatible. How do you do that may I ask?

I'm basically a PC amateur and I didn't even realize you had to take the motherboard into consideration. Wow. I want to eventually go with a 6770/5770, or a maybe a under 200.00 Nvidia card, and a upgraded power supply, so maybe I should check to see if the motherboard is compatible. How do you do that may I ask?

True. So if the motherboard has the proper PCI slot, then you can use pretty much any video card you like, granted you have the proper power supply also?
