I'm looking to buy a new video card soon for my desktop. I currently have a GT430 and want to upgrade to another nvidia geforce.

My budget is $150. Is there a good video card under $150 that can run modern games and future games on max or at least high settings?

Thanks in advance.

This.. although I don't know about running games at max settings... you'd need to spend much more.

Suggest saving up a bit more for the new releases coming soon. If by then they are still too expensive, it will mean the 7 series pricing will have dropped anyway. I think they said around October?

@insane_metalist: yeah i just want the low end ones like the 750 ti to wipe the floor with em.

Sony fanboys think their games beat the pc.

For $150 right now the best you can get is 750ti and that is slightly weaker than a PS4, which already is having problems reaching 1080p and PC high settings equivalent. You would have to wait for the 8 and rx 300 series for new offerings or buy used if you want to keep your standards and budget.

Personally I'd save for the 760 or whatever the new version is in the 800 series

It's the same as 270. :P Just a higher clock.

All you have to do is OC the 270 from 920mhz to 1050mhz and you have a 270x. :P
But still a really good deal.

It's clocked nicely. Already @ 1100mhz, I would push it further.

You'd be lucky to get 100mhz out of it.

My sapphire is clocked at 1050/1250. It reaches 1175/1450.
Dunno about my msi one, It's at 1050/1200 and so far I've only pushed it to 1155/1400 and that was for the latest scores I posted for firestrike.
I tried pushing the memory to 1450, but it blue screened on me. 1425 caused glitches. Kinda bad since it has hynix memory, I heard that it was good. :/
I didn't try pushing the core anymore, maybe I'll see if it can reach 1175 as well.

Cool, thanks everyone for replying.

I think I might wait until black friday or a price drop and get the 750ti.
