I kinda want to get the orange box for just HL2, Episode 1, and Episode 2, but I already have TF2 and portal.

Do you think I should get them now or wait for a better sale for just the Half life games this holiday?

I don't believe there will be a Half-Life games deal on this sale, but I'd say that yes, those three games are definitely worth $7.50. You've got around 25-30 hours of gameplay in those, and it's $2.5 a game. On top of that you can gift Portal and TF2 to a good friend.

I have been waiting forever for The Orange Box to be $10 (or less :D) so today is a happy day for me.

I've played all of the games on my 360 already, but ever since I built my PC back in April I have wanted to play the Half-Life series on it.

I'm going to play through the Half-Life games with the Cinematic Mod 10.

Should be interesting...

Oh and don't forget that all three Half-Life 2 games have achievements now, which prolong the game's longevity, at least for me

Absolutely. Just gift TF2 and Portal to someone else, or see if anyone here will pay you for them. It's a no lose situation.

Not sure Valve will allow you to gift the games you already own. I've purchased a few packs from this sale, and everytime it comes to games I own it says I won't receive an extra copy that I'll be able to gift.

Yeah, I got the free portal from a while ago and just bought the orange box and I didn't get a gift copy of portal.

It really depends on when you got it, if it's on sale they hardly ever allow you to gift.

Worth it? Hell yes. You'll get about 20 hours of HL2 goodness. HL2+both episodes, that is.

The general rule of thumb is: if you don't have the Orange Box, buy it.

So I got the Orange Box, but apparently you can only gift copies of HL2 and its episodes, and not TF2 and Portal...
