Well I meet the recommended at least...

But going from 290X to 390X on the red side and 970 to 980Ti on the green side... That's a massive difference.

Also I don't see the recommended for 4K being very high.

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 16GB Ram. In that case then if you use video editing and use 3d software like 3dmax that be 32GB RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. People use to say you only need 16Gb if your doing that kind of work. Now all of a sudden games need it?.

Games have been recommending 8Gb for years. Some newer games recommending 8Gb pretty much use the RAM to the fullest extent, leaving little for background resources.

So why is a surprise that newer games are recommending more RAM?

Anyways, pretty soon I'm going to have two gaming rigs capable of running this rig max at 4k (though I don't actually use 4k). One X99 desktop setup and one Skylake HTPC setup :)

It's obvious that 4K needs more VRAM than 1080p and Fury cards cannot provide more than 4GB so the next best in AMD's arsenal is R9 390X with its 8GB VRAM.

I don't play on 4K , the best I can get from my GTX 970 is 60fps @1080 but some games like AC Syndicate and TROTR demand for too much VRAM .... it seems devs are so unfamiliar with the word "Optimization" when it comes to PC

Well probably Crossfiring R9 390Xs would be the answer for AMD...

Although it doesn't mention anything about Crossfire...

What? You mean the 2k texture that only occupies 2% of the screen should not be fully loaded?

What games are we talking about here? Because I can't think of a single game I have seen recently that got anywhere close to taking up 8gb of ram.. Most games I have seen get some where in the 5gb range of ram usage.

You can force high resolutions in the original release and the game still looks muddy, like someone's wiped vaseline on the screen. I'm curious if they've fixed that with this release. Also I think its hilarious how such an old game is a Win10 exclusive, its like Halo 2 and Vista all over again.

Loading Video...

Only game I have that maxed out my 8GB of RAM was AC Syndicate and that was with other Windows processes running. The game itself used around 6.4GB of RAM.

Has anyone actually managed to download this yet lol?

I've tried twice, first time, download crashes, second time it's downloaded 57GB!? And still going. When will this end?!

EDIT: I finally got the game downloaded, took me three more tries, had to reset my entire computer in the process. Once I got the game downloaded. I could not find a game online at all, it's either dead, or it's broken. I've refunded it now. Hopefully they sort it out. I miss Gears.
