Almost any adventure game is great for relaxing. A lot of old DOS puzzle games are good, too, like Heartlight, Robbo, Brix, games like that. Playing skirmish in an RTS against easy or medium AI and just turtling for hours, that can be soothing.
Anything turn-based (except total war, thats frustrating). Alpha Centauri used to relax me, but now its Gal Civs 2 and Civ 4.
And for some reason stealth games relax me. Splinter Cell was very relaxing, and im playing through Crysis my second time using stealth a lot and using only fists and its nice. Dont know how I am going to deal with the aliens though.
same here also any of the civilization games, alpha centari (was metioned eariler) i guess any turn based srat game thats not too hetic is relaxing for me.
