Ok i have had my Sony Vaio Since April of 06 and was able to upgrade graphics card, powersupply, ect. but since it has a motherboard made before the Core 2 duos came out and it is Socket 775 will i be able to put a E6600 or E6400 at least?

What kind of motherboard is it? I highly doubt that motherboard supports C2D.

Don't believe it can, but I could be wrong, very hard to find any info on what mobo it ues. There are different types of socket 775, Core 2 Duos use a newer version. Use your tech support from Sony and ask them, that was included in the price so may as well use it and be 100% sure.

No. Or at least I am 98% sure it won't work.
