I was wondering if anyone has downloaded and tried the doom 3 HD mod and if so, is it safe to download? When I downloaded it I got a warnign that says its not commonly downloaded and could harm my computer? But I've read lots of posts on the website from people who say they've installed it and it works great. I would really like to play this in HD with widescreen support so any help or advice on this is much appreciated.

I don't see how a mod could harm your computer unless they mean it will heat up your GPU and fry it, which almost never happens anyway. I say go for it, if other people have had no problems then why not. Also try out the sikk mod

Who gave you this warning, what type of file is it, where did you download it from?

It's a false-positive. Ignore it and let it download. If you let your anti-virus quarantine it or delete it, you'll have to re-download it.

Get it from this mod website. They're legit.

Thats just a standard response for the AV software. The download site or publisher isnt recognised so it flags up.

You know where it came from so most of the time you can trust the content.
